October Parent Profile

For October's Parent Profile, Itzy Ritzy is proud to introduce you to Brandon, and his beautiful family!

Name: Brandon Powell

Family: Wife Jolie, son Jax, son Hudson & daughter Evangeline

Occupation: Family Owned Business - Oil and Gas

Brandon's kids & what they are into:
Jax - 6, who we like to call "Boss Hog" loves baseball and has a huge sweet tooth.

Hudson - 4, our Class Clown plays T-Ball and tries to do everything his big brother does.

Evangeline - 15 months, our little girl who we call Evan brings so much joy to our lives and has completed our family.

Hometown:
Dallas, Texas

Other cities where Brandon has lived:
Lubbock, Texas

Brandon's one piece of advice for someone about to become a first time parent:
You can do more than you think - they need you more than you think. I finally got it after our 3rd and have had the best bonding with our little girl. Find laughter in it all...and never forget their age.

The one thing that surprised Brandon the most about becoming a dad:
The spontaneity that comes with having kids. There is never a dull moment.

Brandon's parenting trick:
Each child is their own person - therefore they all cannot be approached the same way.

Brandon's favorite sports team:

Texas Rangers and the Boston Red Sox

Brandon's favorite one-on-one activities with his children:
Playing catch or watching a movie together.

If Brandon could go anywhere tomorrow on an all expense paid vacation, where would he go and with whom?
I would take my wife back to Cabo where we had our honeymoon 10 years ago. We have not been anywhere since...

Something else we should know about Brandon:
Becoming a father is a gift that we get to enjoy for just a short period of time. I feel so lucky and blessed to have been given the chance to be a dad to my three wonderful kids.

Snack Happened Story

Heather from Surfside Baby, one of our accounts, shared this cute story about her son Alex and his new Snack Happend Snack Bag:

I just wanted to tell you that my son Alex started preschool last week. He is supposed to have a snack bag with is name on it. So I used the Snack Happened monkey bag you gave me as a sample at the ABC Show. He LOVES it and won’t let go out it. He finds his bag now and fills it up with his snack every day before school (well Tuesdays and Thursdays)...What an AWESOME idea for preschools that require a unique bag for the kids! Also, perfect for matchbox cars, according to Alex. Thought you would want to hear that. Thanks! Heather
