Itzy Ritzy Boutique Profile - East

Martha Ogburn, the owner, is a registered nurse who wanted to work "outside the box". She has helped other
"eco-chic" moms nurture naturally in her store for 8 years

Love of design, color, textiles, retail and the joy that children bring into our lives led Farah Kathwari to start
her own boutique almost 3 years ago. Her travels to her husband's home country of Belgium inspired her to bring the asthetic of their children's clothes to her community.

Farah says, "We are the only children's boutique in town and the only one in Westchester county carrying the collections we have! We live and work in our village, so we are very much part of the community and care about our clientele and their well being."

Owner Amber Chaves recognized a void when she moved back upstate from New York City: there were no baby/parenting stores that shared knowledge, support, and community with quality products for new and expecting parents. 2 years ago she opened a store where parents could get tailored assistance with babywearing, cloth diapering and experience products first hand.

"What we offer here at The Bundle Store is more than just babywearing expertise and a boutique shopping experience," Amber says. "We offer a way for new moms and grandparents to connect with their neighbors and share in the joy of birth and babies. You would not believe the amazing things that happen in our tiny little store when people starting talking and sharing with one another."

Why carry Itzy Ritzy in her store? Amber says,  "I love that Itzy Ritzy is a mama owned company. It's so incredible to see so many women becoming entrepreneurs and setting their own stage for what work/family balance looks like. I love that the products meet the needs of mothers in a very fresh and modern way. They make an impression and they spark dialogue about parenting. When you think about it, that's huge!" Amber gushes over the Nursing Happens™ Infinity Breastfeeding Scarf:  "It's a cute scarf - wait it's also a nursing cover! Before you know it, breastfeeding in public becomes as normal as wearing a scarf around your neck."

Owner Sonali Costa has a pasion for healthcare and wanted to provide individual patient care and information that was missing from big box pharmacies.

"We are located in a semi-rural area of Greenwich, far removed from the proper downtown area," Sonali explains. "The community supports us singularly, and we reciprocate, which fosters a strong sense of camaraderie."

Snack Happens™ Reusable Snack and Everything Bags are popular in her store and she appreciates that they are "cute, functional, and washable".
